Lovermore is a Divine place where the energy of Love flows freely. Where one can come to be free to feel the Love and be themselves without any judgement. A Utopia to explore one’s self free from the outside world and all the judgements that go along with it. A laboratory to explore and find your true self. This is Lovermore. Kathy and I are honored and humbled to be the caretakers of this Divine place.
In the afterglow of another successful Lovermore party last weekend, Rich and I take time to be thankful for all the wonderful connections we and our guests have made and all the magic that has happened here already at Lovermore. Last weekend’s party was another big success. We made several new friends, and have heard from many how much they enjoyed the party and felt so comfortable, welcome, and safe here. That makes us both so happy, because that is exactly what we envisioned when we manifested Lovermore!
One of the important connections we made was with Ivy Hawthorne, a goddess on earth who gave Rich an incredible healing session during the party. We are so glad we met her! Ivy is going to be offering sessions here at Lovermore on August 5 and 6, be sure to check them out!
After the party, Rich and I offered our second practice Tantra class to party attendees. Even though we had around 60 people at the party, we didn’t know until right before we began the class exactly how many people would stay for the class, which was a great reminder to just let go of what you can’t control and leave it up to Spirit. We ended up having 6 men and 1 woman stay for the class, in addition to ourselves, but none of the men seemed to mind the gender imbalance. Some of our class participants were experienced and some were new to Tantra altogether. The class was about 2.5 hours, and we did the first half on the grass in the backyard and the second half in the pool. We did a Puja in the pool, which we are now referring to as a poolja (tongue in cheek) and finished with appreciations while each participant was held floating by the others. The class was really well received by our students, and we got some great feedback about slowing down our pacing even further. The participants especially loved the parts of the class held in the pool. We want to figure out how to do even more in the pool when the weather allows.
This weekend Kathy is assisting for one of Caroline Carrington’s Black Diamond pujas in Oakland on Friday night, and then on Saturday Caroline will be offering her Polishing the Penis class here at Lovermore. Should be exciting!
It’s been a long time since I posted to this blog. The good news is that I (Kathy) found a new job! About a year ago, actually. The bad news is that it has kept be quite busy, so I got out of the habit of updating the blog. And now in my new job I don’t maintain websites any longer, so now I have gotten quite rusty at it. So today I decided that no matter what, I was going to get a new blog post up!
We’ve actually made quite a lot of progress on Lovermore — both our home and our mission — since our last post. First, we’ve held several parties here at Lovermore. Rich’s 60th birthday party in January, a Superbowl and Lingerie party in February, and a Spring Fling in April. We’ve got another party coming up July 8. So far each party has been bigger than the last, with 65 people at our party in April. We’ve met a lot of new people as our friends are bringing their friends, or even telling their friends about it, and asking for an invitation.
Second, we are starting to have a lot of Tantra and spiritual events held here at Lovermore, which is a key part of our vision for Lovermore. Dan Argraves hosted a Maithuna: Sacred Lovemaking workshop here on Saturday, July 8. And coming up Caroline Carrington will be hosting Polishing the Penis: Mild-Blowing Techniques of Erotic Massage here on Saturday, July 22. And then Monique Darling will be hosting four events here in September: Outside Cuddle Party Under the Stars on Friday, September 8; The Art of Energetic Sex Intensive during the day on Saturday, September 9, and then All Gender Play Party the evening of Saturday, September 9, and also Tantric Massage Secrets for Couples on Monday, September 18.
And finally, Rich and I have started advancing our Tantra education to become teachers and facilitators in our own right. We took a weekend Sarasa Tantra intensive from Caroline Carrington and Julia Tindall in February. And just a week ago we have completed Modules 1 and 2 of Sarasa Tantra Group Facilitator Training. Now we are need to give two (free) practice classes of 2-3 hours each, and have a final coaching call with Caroline and Julia, to officially complete our training. Then starting in the fall, Rich and I have signed up for the mentorship program that Caroline is offering, to dive even deeper still in learning how to be a group facilitator and to give private Tantra sessions. Rich and I see this as a core part of our spiritual work in the world, and we’re both so excited!
Yesterday we had the Lovermore sign installed outside the front door. I really like how it looks!
Then today Rich and I conducted a house blessing of Lovermore. The ritual was based on a house blessing ritual given to me by Linda Lenore, our Feng Shui consultant. We used flowers and candles in each room of the house, along with bells, essential oils, holy water, rice, and salt. I won’t give away the ritual itself because it wasn’t given to me in a way that I could pass it on. But we adapted the ritual to meet our needs, given the mission of Lovermore and the way we plan to use the space.
We planned to do the ritual when we expected to be alone, with no interruptions. Of course it didn’t work out that way. Our real estate agent, Mary Ann Rozsa, stopped by out of the blue as she was visiting an open house two doors down. But actually, she was the most perfect person to stop by during our house blessing, as she was an essential part of manifesting the house in the first place! We took a break in the ritual to show her all the changes and improvements we have made to the house since she helped us buy it.
There were other interruptions and hiccups, but when we stopped to think about it, each of them actually made the ritual better and more appropriate for our unique situation. The Universe, she looks out for us!
