Lovermore is a Divine place where the energy of Love flows freely. Where one can come to be free to feel the Love and be themselves without any judgement. A Utopia to explore one’s self free from the outside world and all the judgements that go along with it. A laboratory to explore and find your true self. This is Lovermore. Kathy and I are honored and humbled to be the caretakers of this Divine place.
Today Rich and I conducted a house blessing of Lovermore. The ritual was based on a house blessing ritual given to me by Linda Lenore, our Feng Shui consultant. We used flowers and candles in each room of the house, along with bells, essential oils, holy water, rice, and salt. I won’t give away the ritual itself because it wasn’t given to me in a way that I could pass it on. But we adapted the ritual to meet our needs, given the mission of Lovermore and the way we plan to use the space.
We planned to do the ritual when we expected to be alone, with no interruptions. Of course it didn’t work out that way. Our real estate agent, Mary Ann Rozsa, stopped by out of the blue as she was visiting an open house two doors down. But actually, she was the most perfect person to stop by during our house blessing, as she was an essential part of manifesting the house in the first place! We took a break in the ritual to show her all the changes and improvements we have made to the house since she helped us buy it.
There were other interruptions and hiccups, but when we stopped to think about it, each of them actually made the ritual better and more appropriate for our unique situation. The Universe, she looks out for us!
Late Saturday after the big move, our friend Penny, who is very much of the same mindset as we are, came over to help us unpack and settle in. This was soooo incredibly helpful because Rich and I were totally exhausted from running around for days on end, we were both starting to get sick, and we needed to get Rich’s office unpacked especially. I am glad it was Penny that we had helping us, because with her we could “let our hair down” after many stressful days and weeks, and also because there she is the perfect person to be our first overnight guest at Lovermore! She reports that the mosh pit couch makes a great bed also!
On Sunday Penny expertly helped us settle in, installing our bidet toilet seat and unpacking and putting away most of Rich’s files and binders for his work. Thank you, Penny, for all your help, and for honoring us as our first overnight guest!
Rich and I had talked for some time about wanting to create a community home where we could host events and parties, both our own and other people’s. We wanted this home to be a place of higher consciousness, healing, energy, and love.
One day after I had moved into Rich’s rental house in Livermore, Rich was texting me. I don’t remember what the text conversation was about, but it was something mundane. In one of his texts he mis-spelled Livermore as Lovermore. He noticed it, but let the mis-spelling go as we are all lax about spelling via text. But as soon as I saw the word Lovermore in his text, I knew it was something special. It immediately hit me that Lovermore should be the name of our new home! It’s the perfect combination of Love and Livermore, which is what we’re about.
When I told this story to my Feng Shui consultant, Linda Lenore, she responded, “Get the URL!” Great thinking! I snapped up lovermore.org even before I made an offer on the house.
